Get Resilience Building Leadership Professional Certified with Navy COOL

Navy COOL provides funding for Enlisted Sailors to attempt one of the Resilience-Building Leader Program (RBLP) leadership certification exams.

Executive Edge LLC is an Authorized Training Partner with the Resilience-Building Leader Program, helping Sailors prepare for these nationally recognized certifications through flexible online training.

Navy COOL funds one exam attempt for the following certifications:

• Resilience-Building Leadership Professional (RBLP) – Entry-level certification
• Resilience-Building Leadership Professional – Coach (RBLP-C) – Intermediate-level certification
• Resilience-Building Leadership Professional – Trainer (RBLP-T) – Upper-level certification
   

Each Sailor may request funding for one certification attempt and should apply for the highest-level credential for which they are eligible. Recertification funding is also available for Sailors whose existing credential is current and in good standing.

Funding for the exam is provided through Navy COOL and is available on a first-requested, first-funded basis.

To request funding:

1. Complete and submit OPNAV 1500/57 (Navy COOL Funding Request Form).
2. Follow the detailed steps in the Navy COOL Credentialing Process Guide, available on the Navy COOL website.
    

Please note that Navy COOL covers the cost of the RBLP exam only. Training is not included in this funding, but completing a prep course beforehand significantly improves your chance of success.

Once prep training is complete, schedule your RBLP exam through the official testing portal. After passing, you’ll earn a recognized leadership credential backed by RBLP — proof of your ability to build and lead teams through adversity and change.

The RBLP series of leadership certifications are recommended for three semester hours of college credit by the American Council on Education (ACE).

The U.S. Naval Community College (USNCC) accepts ACE credit recommendations as transferable academic credit for degree programs.

That means your RBLP certification can contribute directly toward an associate degree program with USNCC or a partner institution turning your leadership training into college credit that supports your education and career goals.
